On Jul.20th, the\nopening ceremony of the 13th<\/sup> FIRST International Film Festival is\nheld in Galaplex Cinema in XiNing. On this day last year, we underlined \u201cthe\npractice of watching\u201d through a 4-hour opening ceremony. This year, awarded\nfilms such as Suburban Birds, Wangdrak’s Rain Boots,Four Springs hit the screen\ncontinuously,preparing themselves for more audiences. Faced with future authors\nand market, \u201cthe power of watching \u201dis emerging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SongWen,the\nfounder of the FIRST Film Festival  said:\u201dWe\nfinally sit together to shape our own film-watching culture and watch films\nleft in the film history, which counts most. \u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Horse\nThief,the revised version of a 1986 film, as opening film ,not only because we\naimed at looking back, but also what it chases and suffers are this similar to\nfilms nowadays.Director Tian Zhuangzhuang said to audiences presented:\u201d To\nshoot The Horse Thief, my team and I came to XiNing 34 years ago. Today, I\u2019m so\ntouched that it can be released here.Thank you for coming, hope you enjoy it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
