When information about a movie, or information beyond it, is communicated and interpreted in multiple ways, the power of the movie and its creators can be extended beyond the screen, pointing to the occurrence of change, and it is only then that the mission of a movie can be fulfilled. With this power, we can finally use the movie as a torch to re-enter the world, embrace change, and witness another kind of history together.

From July 20 to July 28, 2024 (Beijing time), the 18th FIRST International Film Festival will be held in Xining City, Qinghai Province. The contents and scenes of the festival include four parts: film festival, FIRST MART, production cultivation and public culture construction, among which the film festival includes opening and closing screenings, competition and finalist screenings, themed screenings, themed forums, open-air screenings, Xining's night, and the Youth Film Ceremony. The Film Festival includes the opening and closing film screenings, competition and shortlisted film screenings, themed screenings, themed forums, open-air screenings, Xining Night, Youth Film Ceremony and other activities; the FIRST MART is centered on the Venture Capital Conference and industry screenings, which are mainly open to the guests of the market, including the public presentation of the film market, industry screenings, one-on-one industry negotiations, and the FIRST MART Award Ceremony, etc.; the Production Cultivation includes the FIRST Boot Camp, FIRST Documentary Lab, and the FIRST Studio Short Film Season; and the Public Culture Construction includes the FIRST Volunteers, Public culture construction includes FIRST volunteers, FIRST Store, FIRST ONE and so on.
