Director’s Biography
Wu Xia graduated from Beijing Film Academy. She is a young director and screenwriter in mainland China. Winner of the New Screenwriter Award at the 2016 Beijing Youth Film Festival, and the Golden Character Award, the highest award of the Film Academy, both in Script and Short Film unit.
Synopsis
Xu Maomao, a flour mill junior high school girl, seems to be the same as the kids in this small town, but she is fascinated by the Victoria Secret show on TV and the fashion magazines in the tailor store downstairs. Until a bold school goddess appears, Xu Maomao finally decides to pick up the scissors and embark on the “fashion road” of cutting school uniforms. In this tropical storm of beauty, what challenges will curiosity bring, and how will love and understanding grow?
