Synopsis
A city on the brink of a torrential rainstorm. Lin Lan, who is facing an emotional crisis and bankruptcy, picks up a cellphone in front of their own store. In an attempt to find the owner, Lin Lan uses the birthdate on an ID card found inside the phone case as the passcode to unlock it. Unexpectedly, the phone contains a complete record of a young couple being kidnapped by three fleeing robbers.
Meanwhile, those three robbers, in their pursuit to retrieve the phone, trace its location and break into Lin Lan’s home. At this moment, the emotional connection between Lin Lan and their spouse will also face a life-or-death test…

Director's statement
The film tells the story of two couples who, under the hostage situation created by three robbers, strive to survive for love. In terms of character design, the film focuses on two urban couples. One couple is a young couple who have just entered society, while the other couple has been married for seven years. The story disrupts the normal lives of the two couples through the intervention of the robbers, forcing them to make life-and-death choices. Through the choices they make, the film conveys the theme of “no matter the difficulties we face, we must love the people around us wholeheartedly”, because the power of love surpasses everything. The film explores how a relationship, when faced with a crisis, follows the innermost desires to make choices and to give sincere devotion. Even if it means sacrificing their lives, they bravely choose to love.
