Director's statement
This year marks the third anniversary of Chinese two-child policy. This film is my conversation with a 40-year-old myself, both doing pregnancy tests. One is a self-aware, but unprepared young woman. The other is a disciplined but infertile house wife. The waiting room is a space for woman-to-woman subjects, a space of female maturity and a space of female recollection and reflection.
