As the film festival creates a unique gathering place that brings together old and new friends, we strive to cultivate precious memories over time. Over the past two decades, emerging young filmmakers have taken root and flourished at FIRST, attracting like-minded people to come, watch, and take part.
In 2026, volunteer recruitment for the 20th FIRST International Film Festival (July, Xining) and the 11th FIRST Fantastic Film Festival (September, Beijing) will open simultaneously for the first time.Application period: March 27 – May 8, 2026
