TANG Wei
Tang Wei, born in Zhejiang Province in 1979, was an actress of film and television in China. She was admitted into the bachelor program of Department of Director, Central Academy of Drama in 2000. In 2007 she acted as leading role in Lust, Caution directed by Ang Lee, which won the “Golden Lion Award” of Venice International Film Festival, and Tang Wei was known for her role Wang Jiazhi in this film, a female college student in the Republic of China. She was successfully“relieved from the ban” when she acted in the low-budget film Crossing Hennessy in 2010 which was screened in mainland China and she won the Best Actress Award of Chinese Film Media Awards. In 2011, by her role in the film Late Autumn, Tang Wei separately won the best actress award in more than ten selections such as Korea Baek Sang Arts Awards and Busan Film Critics Awards. Finding Mr. Right, starred by Tang Wei in 2013, broke the record of box office of Chinese urban love film and Tang Wei won the awards such as the 22nd Shanghai Critics Award and Best Actress of Beijing College Student Film Festival by her role in this film. In 2014, Tang Wei starred in a biography film, The Golden Era, which reflected the life of Xiao Hong, a female writer in the Republic of China. In 2015, she participated to act in the Hollywood film Blackhat.
