CAI SHANGJUN

Cai Shangjun graduated from China Central Academy of Drama in 1992. He worked as a director for Avant-garde Drama in 1998, PAVEL KORCHAGIN, adapted from a novel of Pre-Soviet Union, which garnered success in the theatre world. In the late 1990’s, he worked as a scriptwriter for the films SPICY LOVE SOUP, SHOWER and SUNFLOWER. In the following years, he wrote and directed his own films. In 2007, THE RED AWN was awarded FIPRESCI Prize in 12th Pusan International Film Festival, Golden Alexander Award for Best Film in 48th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, Jury Grand Prize, and The 2nd Asia Pacific Screen Award. In 2011, PEOPLE MOUNTAIN PEOPLE SEA was awarded Silver Lion Award for Best Director in The 68th Venice International Film Festival, Silver Montgolfiere D’Argent Award in Nantes Three Continents Festival, 2011 Critics Prize in Black Movie Film Festival, and 2012Grand Prix Award in The 10th Pacific Meridian International Film Festival of Asia Pacific Countries. In 20th Shanghai International Film Festival, Huang Bo won The best Actor Award in THE CONFORMIST directed by Cai.

DUAN YIHONG

Duan Yihong is currently an actor for the National Theater of China. Representative works include: SOLDIERS SORTIE, SOLDIERS AND THEIR COMMANDER, THE QIN EMPIRE, WHITE DEER PLAIN, THE DEAD END, and THE LOOMSING STORM. In 2013, he starred in the crime film THE DEAD END, playing the role of a police officer Yi Guchun, and won the Best Actor Award at the 18th Shanghai International Film Festival. In 2017, he starred in the crime film The Looming Storm and won the Best Actor Award at the 30th Tokyo International Film Festival and the Best Performance Award at the 12th Dutch Asian Film Festival. In 2018, Duan was invited to be a member of the jury at the 8th Beijing International Film Festival. Having devoted many years to hone and refine his solid acting skills, Duan has won the favor of audiences and has become one of the most highly anticipated actors in China.

MA YILI

Ma Yili is a renowned actress known for her roles in STRUGGLE, SWAN DIVE FOR LOVE, THE FIRST HALF OF MY LIFE, and LOST, FOUND. She graduated from Shanghai Theatre Academy.
In 2007, Ma Yili came to wide public attention for her performance in the TV series STRUGGLE. She won the Best Actress award at the Ninth Changchun Film Festival in 2008 with the film GOOD JIANGBEIER. In 2015, she played the lead role for the TV series SWAN DIVE FOR LOVE which was regarded as one of ‘the Ten Most Influential TV Series of the Year’ at the Domestic TV Series Ceremony. In 2017 and 2018, Ma won the Mongolia Award in the Best Actress category twice in a row at the Shanghai Television Festival for her performances in CHINESE STYLE RELATIONSHIP and THE FIRST HALF OF MY LIFE. In the same year, she won the Supporting Actress with the Most Media Recognition award at Shanghai International Film Festival for her role in THE GODDESSES IN THE FLAMES OF WAR. In 2019, Ma’s performance in the film LOST, FOUND won her the Most Popular Actress award at the Tenth China Film Directors’ Guild, the Best Actress award for the Huading Awards in the Chinese Films category, and made her a nominee for the Best Actress award for the 32th Golden Rooster Awards.

ERIC WANG

Eric Wang is an actor who graduated from the Shanghai Theatre Academy in 2004. He starred in plays such as LA TRAVIATA AND BARTLEBY, THE SCRIVENER. In 2016, He appeared in Cheng Er’s directorial work THE WASTED TIMES. The same year, he starred in Joan Chen’s feature film, ENGLISH. In 2018, he played Mo Zhiyin in Lou Ye’s film SATURDAY FICTION. In recent years, he has worked with a number of young directors and won the Best Supporting Actor award for his outstanding performance as a blood cancer patient in Wen Muye’s debut feature film, DYING TO SURVIVE, at the 14th Changchun Film Festival and the Actor of the Year award at the 10th China Film Directors’ Guild. His other films include Director Cao Jinling’s MO’ER DAOGA, director Zhai Yixiang’s MOSAIC PORTRAIT, and director Xu Chao’s THE CURIOUS CASE OF AN IMMORTAL MAN.

He previously served as COO of actor Andy Lau’s Infinitus Entertainment, Director of Film Development & Production for IMAX China, and Director of Film Production for Bona Film Group, and collaborated with acclaimed film directors such as Tsui Hark, Ann Hui, Dante Lam, Andrew Lau and Wong Jing. ZU FENG

Zu Feng is a prominent Chinese actor and director who graduated from the Beijing Film Academy in 2000 with a Master of Fine Art degree. In 2010, he was awarded The Tripod Awards Best Supporting Male Actor award for his role as Ya Lee in LATENT. The following year, he reclaimed the award for his role as Shijie Zhao in THE DRAMA CHEONSAM. In early 2013, Zu Feng played the scholar, Feng Luo in Ann Hui’s film THE GOLDEN ERA. Peng Fei graduated from International Institution for Image and Sound in France. He was the co-writer and assistant director for Ming-Liang Tsai’s STRAY DOGS. In 2014, his first feature-length film UNDERGROUND FRAGRANCE won the Best Film award at Venice Days section of the Venice Film Festival. THE TASTE OF RICE FLOWER, which he wrote, directed, and produced, entered competitions at Venice Days, FIRST International Film Festival, and Pingyao International Film Festival in 2017. This film also won the Best Picture award at China Film Director’s Guild, and Peng Fei was nominated in the Best Director category. Peng Fei shot his newest film, SEEING NARA AGAIN, in 2019.

Xu Zhiyong, the vice general-manager for Bona Film Group’s Film and Television Production, is in charge of the investment, development and production of films, TV series, and web series for Bona. He has been involved in the production and distribution of more than 70 films and has assumed a variety of positions in the industry. Before moving to Beijing, Xu worked as a producer for Media Asia Entertainment Group, where he gained experience in Mainland-Hong Kong Co-productions, and from 2006 he has was in charge of the overseas distribution of co-produced films.
